Buying from 1688: minimum orders, price tiers and samples

1688 is Alibaba’s domestic wholesale marketplace. Most listings show a minimum order quantity (MOQ) and a price ladder in which the unit price drops at two or three quantity breaks; on BopoBuy the MOQ and the tier that applies to your quantity are shown on the product page before you pay. Where a seller allows it, you can meet the MOQ across variants. Many sellers accept a one- or two-piece sample order at a higher unit price — if the listing does not allow it, use a manual order and write “sample” in the note. If a seller cancels because the quantity is too small, you get a full refund to your wallet. Wholesale cartons are bulky: domestic shipping is confirmed after we buy, any difference is settled before the goods move, and light but bulky cartons are charged by volume on most international lines — check the shipping calculator before ordering large quantities.
