1688.com is Alibaba's domestic wholesale marketplace. A 1688 agent lets overseas buyers order from 1688 sellers who normally only sell within China, including small quantities and mixed batches.

Minimum order quantities and price tiers

Most 1688 listings show a minimum order quantity (MOQ) and a price ladder: the unit price drops at 2–3 quantity breaks. On BopoBuy the MOQ and the tier that applies to your quantity are shown on the product page before you pay. If a seller refuses quantities below their minimum, we ask for a sample order or refund the item in full.

Good to know for wholesale orders

  • Volumetric weight. Cartons of light goods are charged by volume on most lines. Ask the warehouse to remove packaging or use the shipping calculator with the carton size before you order large quantities.
  • Samples. Many sellers accept a 1–2 piece sample order at a higher unit price; use the manual order form and say “sample” in the note if the listing does not allow it.
  • Sellers who do not ship retail. If a seller cancels because the quantity is too small, you get a full refund to your wallet.
  • Restricted goods. Batteries, liquids, powders and brand-protected items follow the same rules as everywhere on BopoBuy — see prohibited items.

Questions

Can I combine items from different sellers?

Yes. Every item you buy is stored in our warehouse for up to 90 days free. When you are ready, select any items and we pack them into one parcel, so you pay international shipping once instead of per seller.

What happens if the parcel weighs more than estimated?

We weigh every parcel after packing. If the real weight is higher than the estimate, you pay the difference before it ships; if it is lower, the difference is refunded to your wallet.

Can BopoBuy buy from 1688 if the seller has a minimum order quantity?

Yes for most sellers: we place the order at the seller's minimum, or ask the seller for a sample order. If a seller refuses small quantities, we refund the item in full.
